Real stories, inspiring experiences and conversations to explore new opportunities in rural areas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday, 7 November,<\/strong> join us in El Pa\u00eds del Abeyeiro<\/a> (Pena da Nogueira, Lugo)<\/strong> for a different kind of gathering: an opportunity to meet the people who are pioneering new ways of producing, conserving biodiversity and creating opportunities in rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extensive livestock farming, organic production, cooperation, biodiversity and local knowledge will come together in an open space to listen, ask questions, exchange experiences and learn from one another.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspiring experiences that show new ways forward<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We will discover first-hand initiatives demonstrating how it is possible to create economic, social and environmental value while caring for the land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working together to make extensive livestock farming viable<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will explore how cooperation, direct sales and product processing can open up new opportunities for livestock farms and help keep rural landscapes alive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf31<\/strong> Marcos V\u00e1zquez, Head of Promotion at the Galician Organic Agriculture Regulatory Council (CRAEGA), organic producer and promoter of MUVICLA (Living and Integrated Collection of the Countryside and Agricultural Mobility)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drawing on his experience as an organic producer and Head of Promotion at CRAEGA, Marcos will share lessons learned about the challenges of producing differently and the importance of recognising the value of sustainable practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc1d<\/strong> Alberto Ur\u00eda, beekeeper and Vice-President of the Corripa Association<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Biodiversity and the land: learning to observe what surrounds us<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will discover local initiatives focusing on pollinators, landscape restoration and biodiversity conservation, and explore how to observe the changes brought about by our actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You're not just here to listen. We want to hear from you too!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

These experiences will be our starting point, but your questions, knowledge and ideas also have a valuable role to play.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will share conversations, reflections and lessons learned with people who work in, or are interested in, the future of rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From conversations to the landscape<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We will also venture into the surroundings of the Ecomuseum to explore initiatives focusing on habitat restoration, pollinators and biodiversity first-hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An opportunity to observe, share and connect what we have learned with the reality of the landscape.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will also be time to enjoy a meal and continue exchanging experiences and ideas in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone working in or interested in agriculture, livestock farming, forestry, beekeeping, organic production, biodiversity, entrepreneurship, rural development and land management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No previous knowledge is required. You just need to be employed or unemployed and eager to discover, share and learn.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
