Ecoacsa complies with EU´s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Personal Data Protection Spanish Act (LOPD) and the Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce Act (LSSI), which determine the confidentiality and processing of personal data voluntarily provided by the users of this website.


We will not share the information gathered through www.ecoacsa data collection forms. With the prior consent of the individual, should Ecoacsa transfer personal data to third parties, we will let you know to whom and with which purpose.


By submitting your personal data through our collection forms, you consent to the processing of said data. Your personal data will be held by Ecoacsa while you manage your subscription or until you oppose the processing of said data.

How do we collect your data?

When you contact us due to your interest in our work, if you visit our website or other associate platforms (,, or, if you submit your data to receive our notifications such as newsletters or those of the above mentioned platforms, if you complete a survey concerning one of our projects or if you sign up for one of our own events or one in which we collaborate.

We also collect your data when you contact an Ecoacsa staff member by email, in the course of an event, or when introduced to us by a third party.

Which data do we collect?

Personal data is defined as information which directly or indirectly identifies an individual. The personal information we collect includes your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, the organization you work for, your role title and how you have engaged with us, such as which events projects and activities you have taken part in or expressed an interest in.

If you establish a contractual relationship with us, we will obtain financial information necessary to process the contract.

We also use anonymized data to understand how visitors to our websites are using the site.

How and why do we use this information?

We can use your personal information to:


– keep a record of your relationship with us;

– make you aware of potential collaboration opportunities or activities that might be appropriate to your interests including networks or events;

– seek your views or comments on the activities / events or outputs that we undertake solely or in collaboration with other organisations;

– send you communications you have indicated an interest in or that you have requested (e.g. newsletter).


Lawful processing

— Contract: We process personal data when you enter into a contract with Ecoacsa or one of our collaborating organisations on our behalf.

We consider our legitimate interest to be managing Ecoacsa’s relationship with people that have expressed an interest in our work. We respond to enquiries about Ecoacsa and our work and inform you about collaborative activities that might be appropriate to your interests and location. Processing personal data will enable Ecoacsa to inform you of relevant progress on projects and to obtain feedback on activities and outputs.

We will not use your personal data where our interests are overridden by the impact on you.

— Consent: We process personal data where you have given consent for us to do so, including receiving Business for Nature newsletter.


Who will your information be shared with?

Ecoacsa will never sell your information to third parties. We may share your information with Ecoacsa collaborating entities who are involved in collaborative projects that you have expressed interest in or with those collaborators with whom we jointly develop projects for you/your company under a contractual relationship. We will have data protection agreements in place with these organisations to ensure that they cannot use your data for other purposes without your agreement.  

Your rights

The Personal Data Protection Spanish Act (LOPD) regulates personal data treatment by organisations.

Right to be Informed: You have the right to be informed of the use that your Personal Data will be put to, along with details of the Data Controller and your rights. Where you provide your Personal Data directly to Ecoacsa these details will be made available at the time your data is obtained.

Where Ecoacsa obtains your Personal Data from a third party, these details will be made available within a reasonable period of having obtained the data. If your Personal Data is to be used to communicate with you, these details will be provided at the latest, when the first communication takes place. If disclosure to another recipient is envisaged, these details will be provided at the latest before the data is disclosed. In all cases, notification will take place, within one month of receipt of your Personal Data.

Right to AccessYou have the right to access and obtain a copy of your Personal Data held and processed by Ecoacsa, on request.

You can exercise this right through the submission of a formal, written Subject Access Request to

Right to Erasure (to be Forgotten): You have the right to request Ecoacsa to erase your Personal Data from its systems and records.

Right to Restrict Processing
You have the right to request Ecoacsa to stop or restrict the processing of your Personal Data. This could be for example, if your Personal Data is no longer necessary for purpose of processing.

Right to data portabilityYou have the right to request a copy, in a portable format, of the Personal Data which you have provided directly to Ecoacsa.

How do we protect your data

Employees and collaborative organisations of Ecoacsa who come into contact with your Personal Data have obligations to adhere to data protection policies and are regularly trained in security and privacy best practice.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures in order to protect data, computing devices. Where appropriate, we encrypt our data and devices and confidential information is securely destroyed when no longer required.
